Washington Rising was founded to champion emerging conservative leaders and humble patriots working to advance common-sense initiatives that reflect the values of our communities. Leaders like Amanda McKinney of Yakima, Washington. As a wife, mother, businesswoman, daughter of a law enforcement officer, and elected County Commissioner with deep agricultural roots, she is driven by hope for her children’s future and a commitment to rebuilding a prosperous nation grounded in time-honored values. Washington Rising supports nonprofits and allied PACs that share our vision.
Inspired by the enduring legacy of President George Washington, a leader who united a fledgling nation through courage, integrity, and a commitment to the common good, Washington Rising is dedicated to revitalizing America by restoring the principles that strengthen our United States. Just as our first president forged a path through division to build a nation grounded in liberty and opportunity, we strive to renew our communities with hope, prosperity, and unity in the face of today’s challenges.
Our mission is to champion economic resurgence, vitality, and sustainability for our agriculture-based communities, which proudly feed our neighbors and the world. We honor traditions of sustainable harvesting, balancing the human need for water, food, and energy with responsible stewardship of our environment. For too long, our rural communities have suffered under one-party Democrat dominated mega-cities, burdened by laws and overregulation that threaten their ability to operate. Bureaucratic rulemaking driven by radical ideologues who misunderstand our role as responsible stewards, pits farmers against those who fail to recognize that our work sustains the food supply for all. Washington Rising stands with our farmers, advocating for policies that protect their livelihoods and honor their essential contribution to our nation.
Like Washington, who laid the foundation for a strong and secure nation by fostering unity and resilience, we honor the patriotic spirit of rural communities across United States. These communities proudly host military bases, air stations, shipyards, energy production facilities, and other critical sites that bolster our national economy and security. We celebrate the sacrifices of our active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, as well as the steadfast contributions of rural Americans whose lands and labors sustain the infrastructure that keeps our nation strong. We support our Law Enforcement and First Responders who answer the call of duty, demonstrating the same selfless sacrifice and resolve that sparked the birth of our nation and solidified our united spirit nearly 250 years ago.
Together, we will:
• Restore fiscal conservatism and reject devastating tax increases that burden small businesses, veterans, seniors, and those on fixed incomes.
• Honor our foundational faith and uphold the American ideals of liberty, justice, and opportunity for all.
• Empower law enforcement to ensure safe and secure communities, prioritizing justice for victims of crime and advocating for firm consequences for violent offenders.
• Embrace legal immigration while ensuring resources are prioritized for citizens and communities.
• Pursue sustainable harvesting of natural resources to secure global energy dominance and a prosperous future and defend energy choice
• Invest in education and training opportunities for our youngest generations, rooted in excellence, meritocracy, and practical skills for success.
• Firmly reject radical agendas, including irreversible surgeries and puberty blockers for children, biological males competing in girls’ sports, irrational climate-driven policies that threaten energy security, weaponization of federal enforcement agencies and the misallocation of resources to those who enter our country illegally.
Washington Rising is a call to action—a movement to restore balance after decades of one-party dominance in our failing cities that has paralyzed rural communities and attempted to dictate our destiny, overriding the unique needs and voices of rural Americans who deserve the freedom to shape our own future. Like President Washington and the farmers, laborers, and tradesman, who fought with intense resolve to build a nation for all, we pledge to reclaim and amplify the voices of rural Americans, ensuring the United States reflects their unique needs and contributions in a united, prosperous future for generations to come.
